Let’s talk about pride and our hearts. The old me LOVED HERSELF SO MUCH. I loved life and I loved to be the life of the party. (Which is still true) I love life so much more now than I’m following God’s path and not my own. I love to be the life of the party, but it’s a different kind of party now. It’s a party of the saints. Where life in Christ is celebrated, and how in the middle of the party I’m discipled to a better version of the me I thought I loved so much. He used kindness to break me so he could mold something better! 😭
Now, There is nothing but goodness everywhere I look. This LOVE….this heart who’s madly in love with her savior, praying, listening, growing, learning, teaching, being an active member of the kingdom of God. This heart that I have now has been transformed in a way that I no longer live to please Crystal. I still stumble and I still fight to follow my own way, but he draws me back in with kindness! Once you have this heart change, once you are truly washed in the blood, and reading the word, praying and actively seeking Him, He will peel back the layers of your heart like an onion. Each shedding provides more fruit for your life, more abundantly living in his glory! The shedding is sometimes painful, but He's with you every step of the way!
Things that once mattered grow stupid and boring. You start to see things in a Christlike way. Your opinion of yourself changes, you start seeing yourself as a servant. Instead of walking around like everything is owed to you. Instead you find new effective ways to further your ministry, your calling, your purpose. Which excitingly enough is that we are called to tell others about this HEART CHANGE! That’s the only way I can describe it! Just invite Him in, ask for more of Him and less of you and He will peel the old you right out of your heart! ❤️🔥😭

Don’t follow your heart, Girl. Follow Jesus. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” Jeremiah 17:9 ESV
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us Ephesians 3:20 KJV
“Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.” John 12:26
