God is Love

First John 4:8 says, "For anyone that does not love, does not love God, for God is love."

I was reading on waynation.com on 20 Lies Satan Tells Us. There were so many good points though out the reading. The scripture above come in on number fifteen. The point lie the writer said that Satan tell us is "God is ALL love". Keep reading because this is interesting. We all know that First John is true. God is all love! He is the definition of love. A lot of people want to forget what love is composed of, though. What defines love.

Below is what the writer said:

God is love
God is Love

"Satan want us to focus JUST on God's love, because then the other parts just look mean." In the age we live in, we see so much corruption. So much immorality. So much hate and rebellion. So much pride. People truly just want to look at the ooey gooey part of love. But love is composed of so much more then the effection that makes you feel all good. Love, which is God, is composed of correction. He is composed of wisdom and understanding that far outweighs anything we could ever try to understand. He is full of power and being just.

When we try to ignore the fact that His ways are better, we allow pride to lead us instead of humbleness. We are trying to say that we know better.

John 8:44 says, "For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is not truth in him. When he lies it is consistent with his character, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

It is either God or Satan leading us. It is not You or God. God is love. Satan just loves to deceive us from our inheritance. Just as he deceived Eve. Thankfully God is love and God does love us. He made a way for us to step back into the blessings of Him. Just as Adam and Eve was given a choice in the Garden to believe God or not, we have that choice everyday that we wake up. Are we going to believe the Word of God. Are we going to believe Him when he convicts to change something in ourselves? He is not doing it to torture us, He is doing it to help us. He loves us and wants the best for his children.
